Infestação de escorpião deve aumentar 70% em dois anos

Durante o verão, é comum ouvir casos de pessoas que se depararam com escorpiões amarelos no jardim, na janela ou na pia da lavanderia.

No entanto, o pequeno animal (que cabe até na palma da mão de uma criança) tem se reproduzido em uma proporção fora do que é considerado normal.

Segundo Randy Baldresca, biólogo e pesquisador, o número de bichinhos andando pelas ruas deve aumentar até 70% nos próximos dois anos.

“Se o acúmulo de lixo permanecer nas ruas, a população continuar mal informada em como lidar com o animal e o número de edificações for ampliado, a situação vai se agravar”, diz Baldresca.

However, the small animal (that fits even in a child's palm) has been reproduced in a ratio outside of what is considered normal.

According to Randy Baldresca, biologist and researcher, the number of bugs walking the streets should grow to 70% over the next two years.

"If the accumulation of garbage remain on the streets, people continue ill-informed on how to handle the animal and the number of buildings is increased, the situation will get worse," says Baldresca.
